Will Annamalai step aside? Will the double leaf form the government? EPS-Amit Shah meeting!
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Chennai today for a two-day visit, has come to decide on alliance calculations. Meeting with journalists at a private guesthouse in Chennai, Amit Shah clearly stated that the NDA will form the government in 2026, and that too under the leadership of AIADMK in Tamil Nadu. The event was attended by Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Opposition Leader Mr. Edappadi K. Palaniswami, current BJP State President Mr. K. Annamalai, and Mr. Nainar Nagendran who is set to take over as the new BJP State President.
While parties in the DMK alliance have remained unchanged from 2019 to 2021, the BJP-AIADMK alliance has now gained significant importance. Will the upcoming assembly elections see a bipolar contest as both major parties suggest? Or will it transform into a triangular contest with NTK (Naam Tamilar Katchi) and TVK (Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam)? Only time will tell!
